Inspired by the confluence of the Stones and Cumberland Rivers near historic Two Rivers Mansion in Nashville, the painting reflects the warm light of sunset and the natural beauty surrounding the Mansion and nearby Stone Hall.
Beneath the evening sky, the rivers meet and merge in natural harmony, creating a quiet visual connection between landscape, history, and community.

This painting was revealed during Two Rivers Mansion’s annual Phil the House with Art & Friends event on May 3, 2026, where Robert MacDonald was the featured artist presenting his Two Rivers Mansion: Timeless Passages exhibition.
The exhibition presents original works inspired by the Mansion, its grounds, its history, and the surrounding landscape.
