This original Abstract Auras™ painting is created on fine art paper using Robert MacDonald’s proprietary Auraism™ method.
Two Bits is a study in grounded energy and restrained movement. Deep browns, ochres, and muted greens form a layered terrain while horizontal passages of white move across the surface with measured rhythm. The palette feels earthy and elemental, evoking the sense of something unearthed rather than painted.
At close view, fine cross-hatching and subtle burnished textures reveal an intricate underlying structure. The composition carries a quiet tension between motion and stillness with tonal shifts that create depth beyond the immediate surface. Two small raised relief elements, the bits, emerge subtly in the center and act as tactile anchors that interrupt and enrich the horizontal flow.
Painted with acrylic on archival fine art paper, the surface includes a mild hand-burnished low relief that adds dimension without disrupting the overall calm of the composition.
