This original Abstract Auras™ painting is created on a canvas panel using Robert MacDonald’s proprietary Auraism™ method.
Sway Bars developed through non intentional motion inside the Auraism™ method which allowed upright ochre passages flanking black and white fields and arcing graphite grey strokes to appear without preconception. These forms revealed their structural associations only after the painting was complete suggesting flexible beams shifting balance or mechanical tension that is discovered through viewer perception rather than artist intention.
Subtle impasto ridges along the strokes catch shifting light adding depth and physical presence. The interplay of verticals and arcs creates a dynamic exchange of pressure and release clarity and movement all rendered in a tight monochrome plus palette that rewards both close inspection and distant viewing.
Created on a rigid canvas panel which is ideal for assertive gesture and texture the piece is sealed and finished with a removable UV protective varnish to preserve color contrast and archival longevity.
This work is catalogued with full provenance and includes a Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity with matching holograms. The MacDonald Signature Collection™ floater frame features a black satin finish and refined shadow line reveal that elevates the artwork without distraction.
