This original Abstract Auras™ painting is created on a canvas panel using Robert MacDonald’s proprietary Auraism™ method.
Bridge to the City on the Water formed through intuitive marks radiating bursts and descending channels of color which were created without concept representation or preplanned structure. Only after the painting was complete did imagery begin to reveal itself with radiant lines that read like bridges vertical chromatic streams evoking reflections on water and a luminous zone that can be interpreted as a distant horizon. These associations arose organically from the finished piece which supports a core principle of the Auraism™ method that meaning is discovered not designed.
The interplay of expansion and downward flow creates a dynamic tension where outward reaching strokes meet cascading color forming a field alive with energy yet grounded in balance. The surface moves between concentration and openness encouraging sustained viewing and personal interpretation.
The work is created on a rigid canvas panel which is a stable substrate ideal for dimensional movement and floater presentation. A tuned sealer and removable UV protective varnish preserve color integrity surface texture and archival longevity.
This painting is catalogued with full provenance and includes a Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity with matching holograms. The MacDonald Signature Collection™ floater frame is finished in black satin with a clean shadow line reveal.
