This original Abstract Auras™ painting is created on fine art paper using Robert MacDonald’s proprietary Auraism™ method.
Arc Over Bars unfolds through the interaction of vertical and horizontal pressure interrupted by sweeping arcs that shift the surface between restraint and motion. The composition forms through mastery-guided responsiveness rather than predesigned imagery and creates a field of tension, rhythm, and directional energy. Ochre, umber, charcoal, and muted passages are punctuated by lighter accents and generate a grounded yet dynamic atmosphere.
The lightly hand-burnished surface introduces a subtle low-relief texture that enhances physical depth without imposing structure. Once completed, the work is permanently laminated to a rigid art board for a flat and stable presentation ideal for floater framing. A tuned sealer and removable UV-protective varnish preserve clarity, color stability, and long-term archival integrity.
