Authenticity & provenance — for life
Every MacDonald Gallery original artwork is warranted to be an authentic work created by the named MacDonald Gallery artist. Each piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and gallery-grade provenance (embossed MacDonald Gallery seal, serialized verso label, acid-free enclosed backing). All records are maintained by the Gallery for lifetime reference.
Catalogue raisonné
Each original is assigned a unique serial number and entered into MacDonald Gallery’s private catalogue raisonné for the artist (title, date, medium, dimensions, provenance notes). On change of ownership, the record can be updated to reflect the new owner of record.
Eligibility
This Lifetime Collector Guarantee applies to the initially named purchaser only and is non-transferable.
Care, service, and support
We stand behind every original with insured, gallery-level packing, careful handling, and 30-day returns. We remain available for future documentation requests, condition inquiries, and display or care guidance.
Collector options (by request)
At the request of the initially named purchaser, MacDonald Gallery may consider a gallery repurchase of the work at the original purchase price paid to the Gallery (exclusive of taxes, shipping, and framing). Any repurchase is voluntary and at the Gallery’s sole discretion, and is contingent on inspection, verification of documentation, and current gallery policy. From time to time the Gallery may alternatively offer options such as trade-up or consignment; when available, terms will be stated on the listing or provided upon request. The Lifetime Collector Guarantee does not imply or promise appreciation or resale profit.
How to initiate
Email the Gallery with the COA number, clear photos of the artwork and verso, and your order details. We’ll issue an RMA and packing guidelines for insured shipment.
